Male torsos. I meant to have them uploaded sooner, but I wasn't able to draw at all while an vacation. I dunno, artists block or something.
Anyways, The one on the top has a puppet cuz he looked like he was talking to his hand. He was also the only one who was privilaged with a face. The one at bottom with a back ache looks wierd because I never saw a picture of someone like that before. Oh yeah, I used four reference pictures and made the rest of the junk up, so don't take these as serious torso studies. It was just to get me more used to the human shape and so that I can memorize it better.
While these are learning drawings, I would appreciate tips from artists who know more about the human body. Don't be shy cuz I know practically nothing.
I thought so too, that's why i was working with different thicknesses and stuff, but maybe once I put some legs on them they'll look a little better, but the backs of men looked surprisingly womanly, an least from the pictures I found on DA.

hey, I forgot to ask. Why do they look womanly? Is it simply lack of muscle definition, or is there something else that i am doing wrong? I don't mind if there is alot I need to fix, as long as I can improve future drawings.

It's not so much the lack of muscle definition I guess as the overall curvature of them. Maybe they really do look like that, I dunno, but the waist/hip ratio looks a bit womanly to me. That they AREN'T muscley only exacerbates that
I don't know enough about muscle anatomy to make them all muscley. Plus I didn't think I would need to go too much into muscles as long as I had the basic shape down. It seems I will have to do more studying.
I don't really know what they look like either, so this is difficult to fix. XD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
